Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first television appearances were as Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played the character. She did not pursue acting as a career after reaching adulthood because her parents were afraid of the negative impact stress might be a cause of. Perry says she didn't want to become an actor during high school but decided to take up playing as a way to make friends during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, brought her to California again where she began working on stage. Perry performed with her mom on stage in The Other Place at Broadway, back in 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. Perry was also featured in an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. The actress also portrayed in the role of a young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The character was picked via auditions though she had a close association with it.
